My name is Kayla Ortega, and I am currently seeking a communications or marketing role. 

 

I am a graduate student at Rutgers University, where I am expected to graduate in 2024 with a master’s in communications and media. Before this, I graduated from Montclair State University with a B.A. in Communications and Media Arts. At MSU, I was a member of two honors organizations and studied media writing, public relations, social media marketing, and promotional strategy development. 

 

Professionally, I am an administrative coordinator at Stellar Role Models Inc., a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In this role, I have sharpened my administrative and organizational skills. I previously served as the organization's social media coordinator, which helped me thoroughly understand social media management. 

 

I love the arts.  I enjoy live music events and visiting art museums in my free time. My long-term goal is to have a communications career in the music industry to manifest my love for music.
